THE RACE OF THE YEAR

Round The Bays is the first sports event of the Med School calendar and an awesome way to get to know some of your classmates, stretch your legs and bag and receive your first Med School T-shirt of the year.

Time: Sunday 15th March

Location: Quay St by the waterfront near Foodtown and Vector Arena

The race is an easy 8 km that you can walk (but you may get stuck with annoying corporate people at the back), run (sometimes this is not possible at the start and when stuck behind lines of annoying corporate people linking hands) or run fast (and beat the magical 30 minute mark – the only way to run it properly is to be at the front when the siren goes).

Regardless, it is great event to be part of and lovely to see everyone coming together in the name of charity.

The run is on Sunday, 15 March with the official start at 9:30am from Quay St by the waterfront near Foodtown and Vector Arena. The race makes it way around the waterfront to the finish at Mission Bay. From here we walk a short distance to Dingle Dell Reserve where there will be a BBQ, drinks and some post-race funtimes (cricket, touch, soccer, frisbee and swingball). We will give everyone more details of when and where to go for everything closer to the time. We will be hanging around lectures in the first couple of weeks of Uni letting you know how to sign up and get T-shirts sorted.
